Main Transmission Equipment
Prime Power Distribution Unit (PPU)
- It is a power switch that connects the output of the transmitter coupling network and the input unit of the antenna. It is operated manually or automatically by TOPCO. It is in the lightning arrester on the upper part of the cabinet, protecting the transmitter.
Control Console
- The control console controls 32 HCGs and the output network part. It is composed symmetrically with the TOPCO device at the center. When in operation, either the left group (L) or right group (R) is selected for operation.

Pulse Generator Assembly (PGA)
- Its role is to amplify the Loran-C pulse generated in the control console to its maximum output level. The transmission output becomes bigger as the number of HCG increases.

- Half-cycle generator (HCG), pulse generation assembly (PGA), switch network, coupling network, output network
Output Network
- Coupling Network
- It is structured so that it can receive waveforms from the PGA, generate accurate Loran-C pulse waveforms, and send them to the antenna.
- Output Network
- It accurately matches the space between the transmitter and antenna electrically so that the maximum output level is released efficiently.

- It is a switch that connects group 1 or group 2 output, coupling network output, and antenna input together. It is operated manually or automatically by TOPCO.
Time Synchronization System
- The time synchronization system is a system designed to use the global navigation satellite system (GNSS) to synchronize the transmission signals of Pohang and Gwangju eLoran/Loran-C Stations, which are Loran-C international cooperation partners, with universal time coordinated (UTC). It is composed of a GNSS receiver, cesium atomic clock, rubidium atomic clock, universal counter, reference time generator, TOT control device, UPS, industrial PC, KVM switch console server, Ethernet switch, and VPN.
Antenna
- In the output network, signals are sent to the top-loaded antenna (137 m) through the final matching box, enabling the use of Loran radio signals.

Fire Alarm System
- It is a control console with halon gas fire extinguishers equipped in major devices inside the transmitter and control console, which are automatically activated in the event of fire inside the equipment room.
