Okcheon Control Station

Station name: Okcheon Control Station (OC)
Okcheon Control Station controls and monitors the Loran-C and eLoran systems. It is currently operated by the NMPNT under the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (MOF), which took over the control from Pohang Maritime Radio Control Center in January 2006.

To ensure the smooth operation of the Korea Loran-C Chain and eLoran system, expert agents are stationed at the Okcheon Control Station 24/7. It remotely controls all domestic and international transmission stations belonging to the station (Pohang, Gwangju, Incheon/Socheongdo), two Correction Reference Stations (Incheon, Pyeongtaek), and two Integrity Monitoring Stations (Ganjeolgot, Pyeongtaek).

The control station performs real-time control of all baselines based on data transmitted from correction reference stations and integrity monitoring stations (IMS). At the same time, it maintains the accuracy of radio signals released by the transmission stations and minimizes positioning errors for both maritime and inland users.
